About the event
Polar Vortex is a Northeast Ohio jazz ensemble/big band connected with the Snowbelt Musical Arts Association (SMAA). It functions as a community-based ensemble that brings together adult and advanced student musicians performing a mix of big band jazz, swing, standards, Latin, funk, and modern arrangements.
Repertoire includes music inspired by classic big-band traditions such as Count Basie, Stan Kenton, and interpretations of Great American Songbook material.
